The Birthday Crown

I saw the idea for a felt birthday crown in a recent book I'm reading a loved it. The thought is that they can have something to wear every year on the day of their birthday to feel special, a little tradition. You can also add to the crown each year with embroidery, buttons, ribbon or patches, depending on their interests at the time. I think it turned out really sweet and I love the soft wool and colors I was able to find for project. I plan to make one for each of the kids to keep.





And most importantly the birthday girl felt special in her crown. I also made her a matching shirt, with a requested owl on it.. "look whooos' three!"
