1 week

1 week from today our family will begin a new chapter as we set off East. We have a world of feelings going through us as we get ready to venture to, for us, somewhere very unfamiliar and far. This beautiful valley is the only place we have ever called home, our family, parents, grandparents, cousins, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, neighbors, friends old and new, all our people are here. This house we live in, although not technically ours, always felt very much like home. And oh how I love this brilliant green and perfectly shady yard the children have spent so many hours laughing and running around in, playing with mud, swinging, climbing trees, discovering life, it's been nothing short of wonderful. All of our babies came home from the hospital to this very house, they all learned to sit, talk and play here, it's all they know.
And as we're looking back on all the years we've spent here and in this house, we are very grateful, for that time and wonderful memories we've shared. We can never replace those sweet times and they are something we will always hold close to our hearts. But for us, it's time to go off as a family and discover what else this beautiful world has to offer. We are excited to experience something new, a slower pace and closer community of a small town, all four brilliant seasons to live through, the rolling hills of the country not too far from city, less crowds and the breathtaking amazing-ness of nature. Life's a journey and we are on the path in a new direction.
But for now, in this 1 week we have left, we are soaking up all the California, friends and family we can and enjoying every minute.
