These smelt sooo good baking today. Found the recipe on pintrest and changed it up a bit, they came out amazing. We've all been munching all day. The kiddos picked these apples from the orchard Monday, so I thought this would be a fun thing for them to make.
They cut all the pieces (with butter knives, oh bless them!), put them on a baking sheet with some parchment paper. Sprinkled the apples with some cinnamon, mixed it all around with hands for an even coat, drizzled some maple syrup on top (because really everything tastes better with maple syrup) and a few small pieces of butter on top. Tossed it in the oven for about 2 hours at 275 and out came apple chips. So cool! Don't let the looks of them fool ya, they were awesome.
Next up is homemade apple sauce for our littlest man, tonight!
