Spent the morning tending to our little garden, watering, weeding, removing the squash plants and some picking. Homemade tomato sauce is on the menu for the third week in a row. I don't think anyone is complaining. And as the season for some of our plants is coming to an end, it is reminding me of the plans we have for next years much bigger garden..with chickens and a few more fruit trees! We've been bouncing ideas off each other for months and months and there is still a lot left to plan and work out before we can dig in, but it is exciting to think about how very much we could have planted next year. Especially with the kids getting older and very much capable of helping out with the gardening and chickens.
For now though, our little garden is doing just fine.
